Nice cheap hotel in Fort Jackson, SC?

My oldest son is at basic training in Ft. Jackson. Family day is March 26th and graduation is March 27th so I need a hotel/motel for 2 nights.

I would love to go, but I am not sure if I can afford it yet. Looks like the most affordable option is for my youngest son and myself to drive. So I would also need the name of an affordable place for one night somewhere near Ft. Smith AR as well. I don't think I can pull the 24 hours straight driving thing anymore...LOL

Anyway....if you are familiar with these areas, let me know some good options if you get a chance.

Flying is totally out...over $400 per person. YIKES!!!
