We had our chicks (are they still considered chicks at 6+ weeks old?
) out free ranging while working on the backyard. I was working on building the chicken run while hubby was working on the sprinkler system and putting down grass seeds. I think it's the first time that I felt like the chickens actually interacted with us voluntarily. We were able to hold and pet them without them fussing. We fed them grubs and bugs (there are some ugly lookin' stuff out there
) that we found while tending to the yard. They walked up to us curiously looking to see what we were doing. They are such funny creatures.
I was already into Chicken TV, but now I think hubby is starting to warm up to it after today.
It was a great day.
