Nice to meet everyone!! First chick!

Not really. You're just going to have to wait and see...:caf
I've got three mixed breed little ones too that I was not planning on but decided I've got enough space to keep any pullets. Mine are now 4 days old. Their dad is a Salmon Faverolles so I'm hoping when feathers start to come in, I'll be able to single out the pullets from the cockerels. :fl
Hopefully it’s pretty easy for you! I’ve been reading a lot and it looks like sexing young chicks is difficult to do. I’m hoping it’s a little girl though just because I already have a rooster. I’m mornin sure if adding another one would be a good idea or not.

Adding a second male to the flock is certainly something to think about.
It really depends on your set up, how you manage your birds and the personality of the birds in question.
I have a young cockerel growing up in the flock with 14 pullets, 10 hens, one rooster and now the three chicks. His hormones have yet to kick in. We'll have to see what the rooster thinks about it when that happens. I have several hens that will be delighted to tune him up should he get rough and rowdy with the pullets or other hens. It will be getting quite interesting around here in a few weeks. :pop

Sounds like it will be! My rooster is pretty docile with people and my new hens, whom I think he prefers now , but I haven’t tried adding. Another make yet. He about two weeks ago started crowing non stop! Which we don’t mind, we have lots of space so we can’t hear him from inside. Maybe I’ll give it a shot if it happens to be a little roo.
