I grew up spending summers on my grandparents farm with their 50ish chickens and handful of milk cows.

Now that my twins are reading age, our family has the breathing room to grow from just a backyard garden to chickens.

My older son and I are building a coop and planning on getting some year old chickens before raising chicks ourselves.

I keep ending up on this forum when I search chicken related questions so I figured I'd sign up.
