(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We've had chickens since March so yes we are relatively new at this.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We started with four but only have three now because one was too adventurous.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Literally have no idea.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
We love watching them play bug football... they are very sweet and love to be around us. And we love the fresh eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Soccer, playing with our two goats, swimming, and the boys like video games.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a single (widow) grandmother raising three grandchildren. I have a 15 year old and 9 year old twins. We have two goats (Bonnie & Clyde), three chickens, two cats and there will be a puppy joining us in the not too distant future. I work full time but we really enjoy our little backyard farm in our free time.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I'm on the facebook group and try to learn as much about my animals as I can.
