Does anyone know who is likely to be the father of my chick hatched yesterday. I bought 2 x 5 year old birds on 12 September and they had been in with a cockerel of the same breed (Lemon Cuckoo Niederrheiner) right up to me buying the hens. The egg that the chick that hatched yesterday was laid on 21 September. My Euskal Oiloa cockerel has recently been treading the hen but not sure if he had been mating her within 9 days of her arriving, but it is possible he was. Does anyone have Lemon Cuckoo Niederrheiners and if so have you had any chicks hatched with yellowy/orange feet? This chick has yellowy/orange feet, my two chicks that I bought as 6 week olds have pinky white or grey legs and feet. and my Euskal Oiloa Marradune has yellow legs and feet which is why I'm wondering if he is the dad, sorry if this sounds very confusing! picture below taken today 1 day old!
