Nope, no differentiation between items on a circuit (unfortunately) That's definitely Sense's strong suit! I may still add Sense at my panel-level, but 1) there isn't a way to tie it into the panel for power, so I'd have to power it externally. 2) I can't fit the clamps in the service boxThey are absolutely not as specific as the unit you have. But over time they can be. My house was built in 1972. I don’t have that many circuits in my panel. Sense will differentiate between items on that circuit. Will the one you used do that?? Asking because my parents are intrigued and wanting a monitor.
I was mearly hoping to see how it hangs out around the panel? Like is it designed to look "OEM" or more "Maker-like" custom tweak to panel cover? The app is an app, it's gonna have a GUI that looks snazzy as all get out -thats a given from the pic on the Amazon link... Oh well. It's okay.
Be sure to ground it correctly. (It's always good to have {Common} Sense)Nope, no differentiation between items on a circuit (unfortunately) That's definitely Sense's strong suit! If Sense had these flex sensors like Emporia, I'd be 1/2 way to a solution: https://emporiaenergy.com/flexible-current-sensors/
I also love that Emporia has these: https://emporiaenergy.com/emporia-smart-plug/
LOL, probably not, and nope for ID / symmetry.So.... Ya gonna use this as an addition to nifty stuff page?
[ETA: is the option to leave comments on that site linked to here for ID validation & symmetry?]
Yup. Not a ton, but enough that I'd get references.And.... As an added tidbit, I'm gonna go out on a limb.... @Nifty-Chicken do you have any memories of "The Adam's Family" original series growing up?
Yup, done!Be sure to ground it correctly. (It's always good to have {Common} Sense)
