Cat Ballou
Songster
I don’t know if I have anything to be concerned about. I have 2 EE pullets due to start laying any day now (hatched 7/31). They are like night and day.
The one on the left is dubbed Mustafa. She growls. It’s not at all aggressive but just her voice. Her legs look rather thick. Is there something wrong? She’s usually the last one out of the coop and the first to return like a total homebody.
The one on the right is Cupcake - so named for her yellow bottom and sprinkles on her face as a hatchling. She has a very girly voice and covered in iridescent green feathers. If I didn’t like the name “Cupcake” so much I’d rename her Dora the Explorer. She frequently goes off by herself and I worry that a predator might pick her off. She reminds me of Kiri if you’ve seen the new Avatar movie. Look at the way she’s turned her head in the pictures as though her vision isn’t right or something.
This is my first flock. I had 4 viable hatchlings: The 2 pullets and 2 cockerels. They’ve grown up together.
