Nipple waterers and ACV

Can apple cider vinegar be used in a nipple waterer?

Have you guys been using ACV in the nipple drinkers for a long time? I want to use it , but dont want to mess up the waterers either!

Pretty much all the nipples that are being sold have stainless steel metal parts which should be impervious to ACV. The tiny amount of "mother" that might get into the system is so small as to hardly be of any concern in regards to interfering with the nipples operation.
