How many are using nipples for watering your chicks? How old are they when you start?

My first batch. I introduced it at about 2 weeks. This batch at one week old. My next batch of chicks gets here in a couple of weeks.
I am thinking about starting them off on it right away.

I love how it frees up space on the brooder floor and no more constanly washing out the waterer.

We just bought some of the nipple things from FarmTek and hope to make a bucket soon for our existing hens. Hadn't thought of making one for the baby chicks we are expecting soon. Did you make your own? I would love to see a picture if you have one.

Here a couple of pictures of the one I use in the brooder. I have a bigger one on the coop.
It is just a coffee creamer bottle. The rope allows me to move it higher or lower depending on how big they are.

Wow - I got several of these today (bought from Tek Supply). Brought by UPS at 3:20, container drilled and hung in the brooder by 3:45 and I've verified all 6 chicks have figured out to get water from it by 4:02. Great idea, especially since one of the chicks had started scratching at the old waterer and spilling water everywhere. Finding the right container, a small one that could have 2 nipples in it and hang a reasonable height from the top of the brooder, was the hardest part.

We'll see how they last, the chicks are trying to peck at the rubber/nylon plug that the nipple feeds through. I doubt they can tear it.

I just ordered mine two days ago. Can someone tell me whether you can use these types of waterers with full-grown chickens? I'm thinking if it's possible I'd love to hang a few in the run and one in the coop.
