Anybody try these? as the weather 'sorta' warms up i want to ditch my heated bucket soon and the horrible mess that comes with it BUT i usually leave water/feed in the main part of the barn, so would some nipple waterers be ok for overnight? during the day they have access to mega loads of water so dunking won't be a worry.

Is it enough water to have with feed though? or scrap the whole idea lol

This is what I did. I didn't use the nipples. I used the watering cups. They work about the same, except the cups don't drip. Here is a picture of my setup. I have a 5 gallon bucket with a fish aquarium heater in it. I also wrapped the pvc pipe fron the bucket to the cup with plumbing heat tape. It worked beautifully all winter long. The only issue I had was that some nights the water would freeze in the cup. I used a shop light with a 60 watt bulb and that solved that.
