Nipples

I am wanting to do a water system and i have bought some RR chicks that are about 5 wks old and i was woundweing if it is hard to train them to drink from nipples? Right now i just have pans for them to drink from.Thanks

My babies took to it quickly. I started them off with a nipple waterer from the first day. I had a back up water dish for the first 48 hours but once I saw all four were drinking from the nipple, I removed the dish. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly they learned especially since my father in law who has raised chickens his entire life never heard or seen this type of waterer. He told me they were too dumb to learn how to drink from it at such a young age but we proved otherwise.
