Nite Guard

I was considering buying the nite guard lite for the sides of my coop. Has anyone used this? If so, how has it worked out? I was thinking their is probably something cheaper that can be used with a flashing red light, anyone have any ideas?

Did you see the "Dark Boogie Lights"? Ay Carumba!!

I've been thinking about trying those lights too, but I think they are pretty expensive. So far I've just been using a regular light on a timer. Let us know what you end up using, please.

Wait, I'm confused. You plan to put flashing earrings on your chickens?

I couldn't find the Nite Guard lite on the site you linked.

All we did, though, was mount a motion sensor security light on the run side of our coop. It wasn't expensive at all (maybe $15 or so?).

It's got a photo sensor, so only comes on at night, and a motion sensor, so it only comes on when something trips the motion detector in or around the run. So far it's worked great-- comes on occasionally when it senses some motion at night, though we haven't seen any signs of predator trouble.
