Just wanted to remind everyone of the Basket show coming up next Sunday August 8th at the Farmington Fairgrounds Plenty of parking! Come Sell or Trade, Or show!
 
well I did so well at the last swap I have to edit my list:
2 light sussex (1 pullet??/1 pullet)
1 black copper marans chick, 1 wheaton marans chick
+/- 1 porcelain booted bantams hen
+/- 2 blue laced red wyandotte chicks

I will also sell any of these prior to the show and I will trade any of these for a marans hen or pullet with a bit of age.

I've been to 3 swaps there. the first, I got there late just to check it out- at 11:00 90% of everything was gone only 2 venders were left. that was spring. then I went a few weeks ago on saturday. I did not sell any birds I brought (just 2 I left at home- figures) and this past weekend was on a sunday- it was a good crowd, lots of buyers, lots of interest. I think sunday is the better day for sure. there is another swap on aug 14th saturday there. there were several vendors that sold out or just about did.
 
WOW So it must draw a lot of people then. I'm thinking of going on the 14th, if I don't sell anything between now and then.
 
the show is this weekend. does anyone know if I can show my frizzled silkie? I'm thinking no but the NPIP tester thought I could. she does not have the correct comb but is not a cochin type but silkie type. I have a silkie we might show and a blue laced red wyandotte, maybe I'll enter 2 of those even though they can't win.

Can anyone tell me EXCACTLY what the basket show is and if I'm interested can I still enter?
