No Brooders, No Problem

I bathed Daisy tonight and Russell went psycho because I took his woman away.. he about broke down the doggie gate after he tore up the newspaper and tipped over the feeder too. What a turd! She is all sparklin and perky now. Loved her spa treatment lol She is such a sweet girl I hope she never goes psycho

My little ones are always great in the bath. Rover just likes to hang out in there...lol

I don't like the fact that Buttcheeks kinda psycho, but I've read that it comes with being a good mother

....I wonder if that's the same for people?

Did she go psycho too?

I'm not sure about mine... Egg A was fine yesterday, but today nothing...no noise, nothing..not sure what to do, if anything

Woo-HOO! On this fine day, at 3:40 pm, there were two brand new baby goats born!!!

Congrats, though I have a question, we think my sheep is pregnant. I am asking cause goats and sheep are a lot alike. Anyhow she is very round, and her belly is REALLY low and firm to the touch. No teats yet though just thought I'd ask.

Do you know for sure that she was with a ram? If so, how long ago. The gestation time is the same for goats, +/- 145 days. If she'll let you, press your hand firmly on her lower sides and see if you can feel a hard mass. Press on the mass, and if it's a lamb it will likely move in response to you pressing on it. Teats/udders aren't always a good indicator of pregnancy. Some goats (I'm not 100% sure about sheep, as I don't raise them, but I'm guessing they're the same) don't develop an udder until even AFTER they kid. Most start to develop one in the month or so prior to kidding, some even earlier than that. You can also check her rear. Usually the girl-bits are flat, even indented. When they're heavily pregnant you will often see things kind of bulging out. That's not necessarily indicating prolapse, but just a result of the baby pushing things around.

Is she a first-timer, or has she lambed before?
