No Brooders, No Problem

Chucked all 7 eggs after 5 days, cracked em all and nothing. So going back to old faithful the 9 egg job with the same eggs to see if its the incubator or the eggs. They appear fertile when i inspect them before eating. Anyway my first complete wipe out...

We completely wiped out the first time too. Don't give up.

When you broke them open were there any blood vessels, or a discolored yolk?

I couldn't see anything in some of mine until they were almost a week, sometimes more.

What an awesome Dad!

They haddnt started. They looked like eggs

Also had the tell, tale, sign when your candling them or the yolk always floating to the top, after they have started they seem to get a little more attached in there and dont float around as much. Something wrong affecting all eggs.

Finally got my white silkie chicks, had to travel quite a distance to get them from a breeder, but it was well worth it :weee

I got five to add to my other five and Buttcheek took right to them :yesss:

I hope it's OK if I resurrect your thread. I'm impressed your boobs stayed warm enough to incubate eggs! My boobs are definitely colder than the rest of my body most of the time so you got me thinking, what if you out an egg under each arm? Anybody done that?
