no chickens

Hi and welcome. You do not say how many hens are in this flock but you do say you are not knowledgeable about farming. One rooster is plenty for ten or more hens, and then only if you are planning on hatching chicks. If you only want eggs for eating, a rooster is not at all necessary. The hens will lay plenty of eggs even without a rooster. So if you really want peace and quiet, all the roosters could go away. If you don't care what happens to them you could try selling them for $3 to $5 each. Someone might be very happy to process them for the meat at that price. You say there are not enough hens to go around. Getting rid of them would certainly de-stress the hens as well as you!
