No Chicks were hurt while being photo'd Delaware & Rose Comb

What an adventure yesterday! My Standard Chickens – approx. 19 weeks - meet with my Bantam Chickens and their Duck leader (Peepers) – approx. 12 weeks. My “little bits” (bantams/duck) followed me around the house and “into” the big girls. I ran to get my camera. When I got back, Smokey Blue, my Blue Rose Comb cockerel was “courting” Stacy, my very dominant Delaware pullet. Almost in shock – other feathered fowl watched. Wilson, my bantam RIR cockerel has his barely feathered bottom towards the camera.

Smokey Blue stopped singing, walking away. I started to lower my camera when suddenly – Stacy takes a dislike to Wilson looking at her.

They scuffled for a minute or so:

There is an almost shocking size difference for only 7 weeks - ok, I know the bitties are bantams - but wow.

My 2 Delaware are my largest big girls.
