No Chix For Easter Toys!!!

I just sent an e-mail to KUSI local nes station asking them to mention a few times that baby chix are NOT toys! They are living breathing baby chickens!!!Please ensure they are sold to responsible adults who will properly care for them!!!


If EVERYONE sent a similar e-mail maybe they will actually do reasearch and make a quality new story about it.

I tried to talk all my co-workers into getting chicks and duckling for their kids so that they could give them to me when the kids got tired of them...

I have to agree. This time last year, we also get photographers who got ducklings and chicks for Easter pictures and when they are done shooting give them away.

I don't know why some of you don't rent some chicks out for this, and then get them back! Your new birds will pay for themselves. Just rotate your chicks, like let them use 1 chick 1 day, a new chick the next... cuts down on stress.

Anyways... I really hate seeing the huge amount of chicks people are trying to find homes for after Easter, its just sad.

(Yet, I am going to get a basketful of ducks for .... my daughter? LMAO)

Seismic, I do agree with you. And no telling how the birds were cared for or not, even if someone does get them secondhand...
