No crow collars

Does it actually stop them from crowing or jut lessen the noise?

For me personally it has stopped, but I have seen videos of roosters where it just quiets the crow so they aren't much louder then a hen. Even seen comments where people say it doesn't work at all. Every rooster is different, so it is tough to say for sure what your results would be

An easy no crow collar that I have had great success with is a 1 1/2 inch wide by 3 inch long Velcro strip you can buy for a couple of bucks at WalMart. Take two strips and stick them together to make one the correct length to go around the Roo's neck. Adjust as necessary to control his breathing: too much and you cut his wind off, (not good). Too loose and he can still expel enough air to get a hearty crow off! I have two roos who have plenty of hens between them to stave off rivalry fights, and my cheapie crow collars maintain peace around our yard. For what it's worth the ducks are louder than the roos!
