About 2-3 weeks ago i noticed one chicken was having respiratory issues and i ended up having to doctor 13 chickens with the Tylan 50 injections 2xper day for 5 days each because they all ended up with it except for the teenagers that were in the run next to the hens...a couple of the hens received it for 6 days as they were worse. I ended up loosing 2 of my hens. All of my girls were laying before they got sick and a couple of them even laid while they were being doctored and quarantined on the Tylan (I just scrambled those eggs and fed them back to them). Since i have stopped the Tylan 50 and it looks like all the chickens except for one are back to their old selves dusting and clucking away with no issues except NO EGGS! Not any. Does anyone know how long it will be fore they start laying eggs again?

Thanks in Advance for your help

Depend on their recovery. Most hens stop laying when sick. Those eggs you got during the process more than likely were already on their way. My guess is you should see eggs again within 2-8 weeks as long as there's no lasting damage.

I wouldn't want to eat eggs with antibiotics in them anyway...better they don't lay until after the withdrawal period.
