I live in southern california and we are having winds of 60 mph especially since im in a canyon and its awful its hard to even stand straight outside, anyways can super windy conditions make my hens not lay ? I have 4 sex links 1 RIR and one buff orp. I normally get 3 eggs a day ( there still pretty young) and today ive only found 1 in there coop. ( there on lock down because of the wind and hawks ive already lost a few due to though evil birds) anways can wind really affect them that badly ?

Hi and Welcome to BYC!

I've noticed that our girls tend to lass less eggs whenever we end up with crazy swings in the weather, for example: windy and stormy down to warm temps for a week then cold for the next few days.

Hope this is some help!
