no eggs= Cull?

Mine just laid their first egg at almost 47 weeks! Now I get one a day from each of them. They just need some time and longer days.

Come to think of it, my sister was a late bloomer. I wish I'd have known I could have culled her.

My BLRW were about 33 or 34 weeks when they started. Kinda forgot exactly because I had given up on them completely. My mother would call me and say things like OHHHHHHH My 17 week old BABY just laid. Have YOURS??????? I was embarrassed, I was ashamed, I started refusing to come out of the house and never got out of my PJ's.......oh wait, not really. But they did start laying and they are AWESOME now!!!!

Sorry, I've just never analyzed it that deeply. I just yell at my hens
for not laying. They don't listen but I feel better.

I'm going to sit here and clean the keyboard and make angry faces while dying of laughter.

That RIGHT THERE was WAY too much INFORMATION.

Some things about raising poultry really ought to remain a mystery... My poor eyes, my poor keyboard.

You should ask the woman who's hen was just killed if she wants one she needs a adult hen for her surviving hen so it won't be lonley.

I REPEAT, I AM NOT CULLING OR GIVING MY HEN AWAY UNLESS LATER ON, I FIND THAT I NEED THE SPACE!!
