No eggs for a week

We were so excited our first pulled laid her first egg. The next day, another one! That was last Wednesday and Thursday. Not one egg since then! I know she's new to it, and people have said the can be sporatic in the beginning, but is this normal?

Do the chickens free range? You could look for hidden nests.

Sporadic egg laying is normal at the beginning, but hidden nests are also fairly normal.

IF she is free-ranging, then she's probably hiding the eggs.

They only free range for short periods of time while I can watch them. We live in the woods (w/a field out back), so I worry about all the possible preditors. No hidden nests here! Lol! I figured it was just because she is just getting going, but wanted to be sure. Thank you!
