Calcium may not be the only reason they stop laying. If their diet has become unbalanced they may not have the proteins to make the egg. If you are giving low protein treats or supplements try giving them more proteins. Also some hens just take breaks. My EE took a six week break in January, all the other hens kept on laying.

after three weeks of nothing...i got two eggs this week. finally! and...today, the oyster shell arrived in the mail, so i'm adding a bit to their feed now. thanks, everyone for the advice!!

everyone's laying again! turns out the one that never started is a rooster...crowing started on sunday. he lives out in the country now (i live in the city...no roosters allowed.) so glad to have eggs everyday again. if only my labrador wouldn't eat them off the counter. the eggs are now kept safely in the refrigerator!

Oh good! sorry about the rooster I know it always sucks to have to find that out. I'm so glad they are laying again that can always be a big problem!
