No eggs in weeks-feathers everywhere-pooping in nesting boxes

Our Barred rocks have not laid any eggs in weeks. I know there is molting going on but there aren't all molting at once. Right now only two seem to be in the molt but still no eggs. Now I'm finding poop in the nesting boxes which they've never done before. Any thoughts? Everything else in there life has remained the same. There was a stressful incident back in October when a bear tried to raid the coop and looking back on it it almost seems like they've been screwed up since. Thanks

How much daylight are you getting a day?

well i'd say sunrise is 6:15-6:30ish and sunset is about 4:30 so about 10 hrs a day now

the others may just be beginning to molt, or something. Are the nest boxes higher than the roosts? because if they are the chickens will sleep there....
i hope that they lay soon!

They may not be getting enough daylight to be able to produce eggs.

If they are loosing a lot of feathers you may want to up their protein so they will regrow them a little faster.

They are most probably in their molt. Monitor them and make sure they do get:

1. Warmth
2. Good diet
3. Good Care
4. Those that are really have a severe molt are not have hole's pecked in them

hens need 14-16 hours of daylight to lay.

Hens in moult need extra Protein....
