I have
8 hens, 3 Buff Orpingtons, 12mnts old.
2 Isa Browns, 2 1/2 years old.
1 Australorp, 3 year old, &
2 mixed cross 6 - 8 mnths old. in the last week I have recieved I egg..
1 Rooster.
they do share with ducks but they are happy and their is plenty of room.
I am almost over it and have little paitence left. As far as I know all I can do I have,
* layer pallets
* Free range every day ( searched everywhere no hidden spots where they are laying )
* Clean water and coop.
* good hutches ( mower catchers complete with golf balls.)
* clean water.
* Summer here so at least 15hrs daylight a day.
* no disturbances
* no predators birds, rats ect..
* they are not eating their own eggs.
Please help, I don't understand I should be getting at least 35 - 40 eggs a week. also for some strange reason the 4 Ducks are not laying either?? could this be related... Mabye I am just not meant to be poultry raiser. I am in Australia.
