Just wondering if hens occasionally take a break for no reason of if hot weather slows them down. I have some quail hens that were laying regularly and then we got this heat alert for the week. I went outside to collect eggs and for two days I found one instead of 6 or 10. I just basically rebuilt and sealed everything to make sure mice could not get in, and it has been regular. Wondering if you guys find that weather effects their laying? I didn't even bother to go check today, we have a few more days of this heat wave.

Most chicken and duck's tend to stop laying when the weather becomes to hot or cold so would expect quail to be similar

My hens got to be laying age right at a hot streak here. They didn’t start laying until close to 14 weeks. I feel good blaming the hot weather we had.
