No eggs, then one egg a day, then 2, and now eggs everywhere!

did you ever not feed the oatmeal for a period of time to see how they laid without it? I would think the red sex link breeds, if from good laying stock could be expected to lady those numbers anyways? I am considering getting some of that you're this year as even with their increase in laying they are still only at about 50% of the number of hens I actual have I would think I should pretty easily get 30+ eggs per day but 22 is a good day for me
Yes like I said before I use to feed my old flock oatmeal every morning. I did not have this habit with this flock. I just started feeding them oatmeal. They love it my eggs are getting bigger and production is up.

Maybe try making it easier for them to get into the nest boxes. Mine wouldn't use the top one very much until I made a small perch for them to jump up onto. Think like a chicken, it would be annoying to have to land on that small lip while flapping your wings and having them hit the opening sides.

It looks like you could easily make a step by screwing a 2x2 or 2x4 to the wall studs.

I agree, they like to have a perch or roost bar in front to stand on
