Five to six months is low end for a hen to begin laying. They can easily take as long as seven, rarely even eight. Your birds are fine.

I got my first egg today!!!!! We are so excited!!! Once I gave up and assumed I got some duds!!! Yay!

Happy to have you as part of our growing community! If they are 6 months, I would feed them layer feed. And if they are doing the "Egg song", you should expect eggs any day now!
