I have 3 hens about 1 1/2 yrs old. I had been getting more eggs in a week then we could eat. In June I introduced 4, 10 weeks old chicks.
The introduction went so well that I integrated them around 12 weeks old. There was some squabbles but over all it went really well.
But since the integration there has only been one egg and that was about a week ago. If they were egg bound they would be dead by now.
I'm leaning towards them eating their eggs, but I don't even hear an egg song anymore and haven't since the integration.
Anyone have any ideas????

Are they free ranging?

The addition of the new birds could've thrown them off laying a little... and this is also about time where you'd expect onset of molt. Are you starting to see any loose feathers in the coop or run?

Yes there are some, I was thinking that yesterday when I went out to feed and water. Do you think they will be well adjusted and start laying again in the spring?

2 days in the row, 10 eggs. Yesterday I got 15.

It's molting season, so a drop in egg Production is expected. My average is normally close to 2 dozen a day.
