no eggs :(

My chickens are too old methinks and I don't get any eggs. Plus the cold is probably hindering them. I want to hatch some soooooooooooo bad!

They have to be pretty old to be too old to lay eggs. Even my young ones have quit on me.

Are they going into a molt? I thought i had lost my egg production for the winter because of the cold but just a couple days ago they all started laying like crazy! I'm keeping their water under a heat lamp so it stays warm and mixing a little more cleaned corn in their food to give them more energy and keeping them in the barn. How old does a hen have to be to stop laying?

well they are 2-3 years old. I never get eggs! They do have a habit of eating them but even if I watch them all day long I don't find any eggs.
