I have an easter egger who is just over a year old. two weeks ago she laid an egg without a shell she has not laid since, She doesn't appear to be molting or sick, though she does seem to spend more time in the coop. She has never laid in the coop. We have searched for eggs but don't find any. She used to lay in the grass catcher. The weather has been quite hot from 90* to 110*. Will that stop her laying? The australorp has had no problems.

EEs don't always lay much, and if it is really hot, it might be stopping her. If the coop is cooler, that may be why she's in there more. However, the soft-shelled egg sounds like a possible indicator of a health issue. How old is she? Is her abdomen swollen? Do you supplement calcium? What color is her comb?
On the other hand, if she's perfectly healthy other than no eggs, I wouldn't worry.

Thank you for your reply. My EE is was a year old in April. The last egg was not even a soft shell, it was no shell at all, it had no form, it was like an egg in a frying pan. Her comb is red and I really can't see anything that would indicate she is sick. I also mix oyster shell calcium in their food.
