I have a wyandotte pullet that is just short of a year old. Hoped she would start laying before start of this winter. Have gotten zero eggs from her so far:(:( will she ever lay? No change in comb color as a of yet. Do I just need to wait for longer daylight hours?

Every now and then there is a hen that just does not lay. Wait for longer day length and then if she is not laying do whatever you feel is necessary. This is the sort of hen that I would not raise chicks from - they would very likely be late maturing like their mother.

Ok. Thanks. I will give her some time. If no eggs I like chicken soup too:)

I seen the roo doing his "duty" for the first time last night with her. Does it mean she may be getting close to laying?:):)
