Hi everyone!

We have a few hens who seem to have lost their feathers underneath. The thing they have in common is that they have been recently or are currently broody.

Is this normal?!

Perfectly normal. That's the brood patch, it helps the hen transfer body heat to the eggs. Lots of species of birds develop them when they brood a clutch, not just chickens.
