No Frizzle??

Ordered by chicks and they are all healthy and getting so big .Four weeks old now. But, I ordered 2 bantam frizzed cochin chicks in hope that one would frizzle...but no frizzle

But adorable anyway!!!Guess I will just have to get some more frizzles!
That is after I re- home 6 Buff Brahma roos.

Frizzle genetics are complicated. A frizzle should only be bred to a non-frizzle, as breeding 2 frizzles together produces chicks with feather deformities and possibly internal organ abnormalities. When you breed a frizzle and a non-frizzle, technically you should get 50% frizzles. However, there are other genes that interfere with the expression of the frizzle gene, and some birds that carry it will not appear frizzled.

I would love to keep the Brahmas, getting very attached to them and they are so gentle!! But worry about the neighbors and 6 crowing roosters!!
