No good deed goes unpunished

wow so sad

I'm sure your friends feel horrible and it was in no way something they thought would happen, some people just don't understand. We have a pretty strict policy out at our place that nobody brings their dogs out. You just never know what a dog will do. Sometimes I'd like to ban certain touchy, feely, "I know what I'm doing" people from our place too but that's a whole nother issue

Hope your duck improves, it always sucks when you can't do much for them.

Good point. I hadn't thought of that. Thanks.

No. She succumbed to her injuries yesterday morning. She had a puncture in one of her lungs. She had air leaking under her skin that I kept draining. She was doing really well until she got a little too active in her bath. She was splashing around and got short of breath. I took her out of the tub but the shortness of breath got worse until she appeared to have a seizure of some sort. After the seizure her breathing stopped and her heart failed about a minute later.

It was a difficult morning.

Ugh Im so sorry ... what a horrible freak thing to happen on that very day you were extending your home and heart out for friends... I would deffinitely tell them NO animals are to come over with them..

What a shame that happened.I hope the friends do something.I know nothing can make up for the loss, but giving/doing something to show how sorry you are is what I would do if my dog did that.
