Hi all, I am a first time Hatcher and am currently on day 21 of incubating chicken eggs. I have read other posts on here about just needing patience (which I’m trying to!) but am a bit worried that I can’t hear any noise or see movement from the eggs. I last candled the eggs two days ago and all was good, they were moving and looked normal. I have opened the incubator as little as possible since then to try and maintain the temp and humidity in there. Any advice?
Thanks!

Did you count the day you set them as Day 0? If not, you're truly on Day 20 right now and have nothing to worry about. Also, I find some breeds hatch slower than others. All my Black Copper Marans hatched a day late last year. I wouldn't worry until you are on Day 22.

Good luck! It's hard to wait when hatching :) Best to let the chicks do their thing. If humidity and temperature were correct during incubation and the eggs are from healthy chickens, then you should have some little fuzz balls running around shortly :)

ahh that might be it! I counted it as day 1. So fingers crossed for the next few days :)

Good luck :)

Oh yes, and my eggs almost never move before they pip - I see a bit of movement on Day 16-18, but not usually after until they begin hatching as by that point they are often too big for the eggs to be moving around lots (no room left to wiggle).
