Hi all really looking for some advice
First time incubating call duck eggs which I know are hard work anyway
Out of 12 eggs I’m down to one who has made it all the way to hatch day
I thought 28 days which now I’m being told call ducks are 26 days
Either way 3 days ago increased humidity, (put egg on warm wet cotton wool as recommended)
Tonight still no hatch or pipping, I’ve candles egg
Can see slight movement so he’s alive in there and air sac does look like it has A shadow in it or half of it has been opened, so one half darker then the other, but no beak in it and still can’t see the duck coming towards it....
I can see the duck still inside above the air sac
what do I do now?
Tomorrow is day 29
Should I expect to see something or do I step in to help?
If it’s 26 days for call ducks eggs I’m worried I’ve gone way over the days and should have seen some signs of pipping or hatching by now
No rocking, no noises, no signs of duck in air sac
Help needed x
