No idea what breed my hens are!!

neevaaarr!!! haha shes mine :) My step dad got all four of them for $10 and I couldn't go to help pick them out because I am on house arrest.... And he didn't ask what breed they were which is why I am on this hunt. But I think we got a pretty good deal on them. Does anybody know how to tell there age?

I don't know who told you that they look like Rhode Island Red but they don't know what there talking about.
Rhode Island Reds look nothing like the birds in the pictures.

What you have is hatchery quality Partridge Cochins.

Thank you Chris! Most of the answers I got was Partridge Cochins so thats what Im assuming they are! Do you have any tips or know how to tell there age?

And since they are hatchery quality does that mean that they get "broody" alot?
No, it doesn't have anything to do with broodiness. Cochins typically go broody a lot. It's a characteristic of the breed.

As far as age, it's hard to tell. I would guess around 1.5 to 2 years old.

partridge cochins around 2 years old...hatchery just means they aren't good type birds for showing nor breeding except for being just pets

they could be good for 4-h though
