No more drake

I got rid of my drake today. He was mean to all my new ducks

Where did he go? Good home? did you sell him, or give him away?

I gave him to a dad for a birthday present for his son. The drake just would not stop being mean to the Cuyaga hen I brought home. He would grab her by the back of neck, bite her eye, chase her down and not let her in to eat or drink.

Oh, cool! Sorry he was mean, but its cool that you could find a good home, is this the rouen drake? I have a rouen drake, and he acts like a rooster, when he sees a hawk in the sky he takes the girls (and ducklings) in the shelter, and he would wait outside until it was gone, very good drake, I will never let him slip out of my hands... He was mewn to my ducklings (8 week olds) for a while, but after I put a new pool in they are better....

He wasn't being mean... He was just trying to mate with her. My drakes have always done that to new ducks that I put in their pen.

I don't think he was trying to mate with her. He was down right mean to her. I have seen him mate several times and this wasn't his mating ritual. He didn't even want her around. He almost pecked her eye out.

If he was being mean to her he would have killed her already.
