No more pasty butt...this is what I did...

We actually tried the ACV for a few hatches, as we use ACV in all of our outside waterers for the flock. Inside though, it did nothing for us when it comes to pasty butt. We're just happy we found something that works for us, and though we'd pass it along

We found out the way to completely not have to deal with pasty butt. A lady told my mom and I that in trying to figure out "why" they would get it, she started thinking about what they have when they're with their momma...and not in the brooder box. The answer....was dirt! If you put a big clump of dirt in their brooder box and you'll never have to deal with pasty but again! We've tried this with the last 4 sets of chicks we've had....and sure enough it works!

Just dirt? Sandy type dirt or with grass or anything?

I did put a clod of dirt/grass in with mine so they could mess around with it... Then one of the babies climbed ontop and decided to try flying out of the box! Naughty chicky.
