NO! NOT AGAIN! Say It Aint So!

Awe, you must have been hallucinating! You've paid your dues for cryin' out loud! You've helped so many other folks get what they wanted, it's YOUR time now!!! Crossd fingers for a pullet!!!

I don't know a whole lot about chickens, but I have a hen that lays green eggs and she sometimes crows. It sounds more like when a rooster is just starting to learn how to crow, not the full on crow. But she is a hen, I get eggs from her!

Well, I sat and sat and watched them for a long time last night and no more baby crowing attempts. Maybe I did just lose it. Still, I'm so paranoid that I think I'll do another "sitting session" tonight, LOL. Someone has already claimed her if she's not a she, but heck, I want my splash pullet!

Well, I still dont know if the splash is a boy but I know who is!!!! Had to let my dog out in the backyard so I sat with the chicks while she did her thing. My humongous blue Blue Orp/Buff Brahma cross with major leg feathering flapped his little wings and crowed...three times. Yep, just like the Ameraucana boy of a few months ago who crowed at five days old, this baby is crowing at seven days old. Should have known-he's the size of a baseball almost!
