I offed my big nasty roo this morning. I wondered if the hens would miss him, they have called out for a missing hen if I take one away for some reason. No sign of them looking for him. If anything they are more relaxed and rushing up to me for treats far more willingly.

I definitely don't miss him. It's sooooooooo nice to walk out in sandals without a rooster whackign stick in my hand. It was tons easier to clean the coop and do some needed maintainanse when I wasn't having to be on my guard all the time.

Tomorrow I will take all the girls saddles off them and they can heal up their naked backs.

Goodbye Mr. Owl, you will not be missed.

OH! Poor Mr. Owl, how could you?

No, not all of them. I have a buff orp roo who is very gentle but also a barred rock roo who is NOT. Just depends - they all have their different personalities.

I bet the girls are RELIEVED. How was your supper, ColumbiaCritter?

I have a nasty roo too but he is my hubbys favorite, so i guess i just get to play football with him when he tries to attack me... JK He will be soup someday i hope....
