No one wants to be Sally's friend :(

Your set up looks nice. Love the umbrella!
I have 4 chickens and 4 ducks. They are separate because every time I let them together, they have to do the top dog fight - lately it has been too hot to let them stress.
However, they can all peck or grab each other through the separating fence. So I don't understand why they still have issues.

I have one brahma and she seems to always be off doing her own thing. I don't think she is lonely. She will intermingle with the Isa Browns when she feels like it. Lol

I just ordered some fertile light Brahma eggs I am going to put a few under my broody hen and I am going to incubate some just in case it doesn't go well with my broody hen.
She is like wicked broody so I am hoping this will help her out, plus I have read so many good things on Brahma chickens

good thinking about not stressing them out when it is hot.

Little update on Sally and and gang. The ducks and chicks don't totally shun her anymore and it's only been a day or so, they just prefer she was not the same size as them lol. they will walk away from anything anyway, they are ducks.. they wait for me to sit or stand still before they decide to come over and tickle me

also the sight of tomatoes makes them forget Sally is new to them and her plate becomes theirs too. I tried to separate them move the little chickens plate away from them with me holding theirs to keep them occupied so they won't see me put down the chickens, then I put theirs down and they go to town. thennnnn they notice hey they chickens didn't eat theirs in less than 3 seconds they must need help from us.

so it's going well, I really just think Sally is happy to have a flock to be a part of.
