We have the same issue at our feedstore. Whenever they get ducks and geese in they are gone quickly. . .that's why I placed a special order through a different store in town. . .that way I get *exactly* what I want all at the same time.
They are coming in two more weeks!!!

Yes, the wait is almost impossible. . .and when I saw geese at the feedstore (not purchased yet) it was all I could do to walk out. . .

heh, no problem Dee.

Today went to a different feed store and checked it out... Only had chicks at the time, but they said they might get ducks in this week. Only problem is that they only carry one of the breeds im looking for, Pekin. Looked at the chicks and saw a woman come by with her son.

sigh "No ducks this time." she said.

"Your looking for ducks also? they seem to be in high demand this year." I said.
I almost threw in a comment about how many are gotten JUST for easter and then thrown away, but she had a kid with her and I actually thought that was her intentions, so i didnt want to be rude. Now i wish i had said that.

I'm frustrated too. I arrived several days too late!! When I called TSC I was told that when the ducks came in, they only lasted 2 days, and then Boom they were sold out.

I think I'm going to have to call them every day.

We don't have TSC here but we were at the Feed Supply Store and they had 3 huge tubs of ducklings and chicks..all dyed for Easter. The owner's wife was running the store (as she normally does) and she didn't know what kinds of ducks or chicks they were. It was 2 in the afternoon and she had only given water to one tub of chicks. I bought 3 ducklings and those poor darlings dove for the water dish when I got them home.

What's weird is a couple years ago, before I even thought about ducks I saw them EVERYWHERE! When I wanted to get some, it seemed like no one had any. I am glad we did get ours but wonder now if I'll see tons only because I've already got mine.
