No pics but ? RIR sex

My pics didn't come out well but I have 3 4 week old RIR hens supposedly however 2 have already grown in long tail feathers and the other one has not and is darker in color. I know it's hard to tell with no pictures but any guesses if this is how a roo develops

I believe you need to look more at the comb and waddles on RIRs of that age. The boys will grow both faster and they will pink up pretty quick.

yes as the above poster said you need to look at that along with color can be used as well! I promise it wont take long for you to figure out what sex it is!
