No pip, but chick is breathing!

Hello! My last post was about my egg that I almost threw out...but this time I have a different question. When I put my egg back in the Incubator, I noticed that the chick was breathing! But isn't that impossible if it hasn't internally pipped?

And also, do the chicks pip the air sac, then take their beak out of it to zip?
