No rooster fertile eggs?

I suppose there’s a possibility of the drake not being able to fully penetrate in which case the chicken would be no worse for wear. Or, in the case of some drakes, if one has a damaged phallus that is more like a nub, then that could preclude any damage to the chicken...

Try incubating a couple and see if they’re actually fertile. :)
 
That was 2 dozen eggs I cracked to freeze. There was 5 out of the 2 dozen like that. Theres no size difference or way to tell them apart just crack and see what comes out.

I was reading about some animals that reproduce without a male but that's just weird. Could one of my hens have ovaries and testes? I noticed these eggs about a month ago but was hoping I was just confused. I've hatched tons of quail and chickens before and knew to look for the bullseye in eggs before incubation. I dunno what's going on theres no roosters around me and all these birds are confined to the back yard.
