No Sew Nest Box Curtains

I HATE sewing!

BUT my ladies required some privacy while in the nesting boxes. Here are my no sew nest box curtains made from an old sheet and some leftover clip-on curtain rod hoops (loops?)

I am still debating if I should cut them for each individual box or if I should just hang them as is.

Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

I think your repurposing of those curtain loops is a genius idea. I lean toward keeping them in a continuous strip.

Love the idea and use of materials. I wonder if darker colors would make a difference in preference? Would be an interesting experiment. May want to cut one strip short do the hens don't perceive it as impenetrable. They aren't that smart.

I also did continuous strip. You may need to clip some of the flaps up (open) until the girls get the hang of passing thru the curtain. My curtains have curled along each vertical edge, but they still do the job.

...and I was looking forward to seeing 'no see' curtains!

Hopefully whatever material those are, they won't start to unravel and create a stringy situation.

They are made from an old sheet and will probably get dirty and need replacing very quickly but this was a test run, so no cost for cheap, broke me

To help avoid the unravelling, I cut the sheets so tha the pre-sewn hem was at the bottom and hopefully, the pinking scissors will help deter unravelling on the sodes, but thank you for bringing up that point.
It is an excellent point and I think that unravelling is important to watch out for.
